Good question Tao! How will the gas come into play with a 100 lap race? Will it only cost us the price of a regular race? Maybe the the endurance race has some kind of great deal… like buy one lap of gas and get 99 free? =P

yes u are, its your race, your friends dont get any benefits, they dont get paid, u do, there just there to increase your chances of winning and getting you out of the pits faster, a 50 man pit crew is going to be faster then a 10 man one, yeah thats probally not true but u know what i mean

a 5 to 1 ratio, will be faster

Shuttup anonymous. Doesn’t say anything about whether or not you have to pay for gas. Just you might have to fill up at pit stops if you don’t have friends. Maybe you should learn to read. If you don’t like our questions, then ignore it. Anyways, Yeah nice job anas! Looks pretty badass to me.

They’ve changed the prize structure. For 1/4 mile drag, you get $350 for a win, on track you get $450 for a win and in endurance you get $550 for a win. If you’re an underdog you get $650 for a drag. No idea about the other ones as an underdog.

Not liking the other races, I’m a 1/4 mile only type of guy, but to each their own :) I just think the 1/4 mile money/pots shouldn’t have changed, and perhaps the other races would be worth more, but that’s just me.

Oh yeah, and what’s up with vDream right now? Is it just my computer? vDream is showing up waaaaaay down at the bottom of the screen, and only like half of the game is showing, anybody else having this problem? I tried refreshing the page, but it didn’t work. I’m gonna go back to my myspace page and check out my other apps to see if they’re doing the same thing or not, then come back to vDream.

WTF? Now the game is freezing on me, what’s up with that? Everything seems to be working ok (only half of the game is still showing, but after clicking on my mouse’s scroll button and making the page move, then it works), until I click on random challenge. I’m scrolling thru my friends list, and when I click on “send challenge,” it freezes! Anyone else experiencing this?

Yeah, I’m thinking that it’s running slow and I mistook it for freezing. I was moving my cursor around, and noticed that the little time thing showing up and disappearing. Damn this sucks!

I would imagine the server is getting manhandled right now. They are tweaking the race formulas right now, as well as incorporating the additional processing load with the new track features. And its still peak usage time. Take a break and come back in an hour. It might be running quicker by then.

Some people might have noticed some buckwild track and endurance times (in the negative seconds). There was some crazy data in our system, but it’s been fixed now.

And on the topic of performance, vDream is growing in terms of monthly actives, in addition to a lot of vDream back-end components being very heavy. Our solution is to upgrade servers again. We’ll be working on that next week.

Yeah, that’s definitely on our to-do list. We’re trying to impress fbFund so that we can win the grant. But after that’s all done, we’ll be revamping existing features to work better and faster. And content will be constantly coming out, so don’t worry about the Solstice and the Supra. The Solstice is done as of now, we are just working on the aftermarket parts for it. It’ll be released next week sometime. The Supra will be the week after that.

@ LXS, Yeah I prefer doing 1/4 mile drags only anyway too… Maybe there could be a thing like on Proracer where you can choose to disable a certain race type so people aren’t sending you a bunch of track races… Maybe make that you get less money for 1/4 mile drags if you choose to disable a certain race type…

I’m always low on gas too…but i check a couple times a day, and i’ve moved from the mid 90’s to 51 in the VDI ranking, so i’m happy. Just wish people would accept my challenges more, i’d be in the top 50 now

HA, woah now LXS. Yeah, I definately dropped a few! After the opening of the raceway, I fell 300 points on the vdi scale. The reason being is that I excelled in the 1/4 mile for the last 5-6 months, and now that races are divided categorically, the 1/4 mile makes up only one part of the overall vdi. It looks like I have some catching up to do. My Saleen is rather lame in the new events… No worries though; I have 3 garage spots being reserved for the supra, ferrari, and the porsche—all of which Im sure will dominate the other track events. Watch your rearview mirror Luke and Daniel. Im that faint glimmer in the distance >:D

Hello vDreamers! We are working on some small tweaks to the newly released race types. Like any new feature that we launch, it will usually take some time for us to iron out the kinks. Also, we are going to get the slow load time issue fixed THIS WEEK. Thanks for all the feedback, my guess is there will be a learning curve with the new race types and it might shake things up a little bit. We will do everything we can in order to make the experience better for you guys!

so…I am stuck. Reached approx 800 VDI and then the Raceway opened. I feel like the stock market a couple months ago. A day up, a day down. Lets hope october never happens to my VDI. Anyway, I can’t wait for the Scuderia (it has to win…it’s a Ferrari, this is a game for car lovers. Is the Pope Catholic?) There’s a spot in my garage that has it’s name on it.

But has anyone figured out how to earn VDI with the new racing paradigm? I mean I’m 900 wins in and I seem to have reached a plateau. Oh, and nobody has challenged me in two days…reasons?

I know how you feel man, I felt EXACTLY like that when the new race tracks came out. But just because they came out, it doesn’t mean you HAVE to challenge others to race those tracks. I could care less about the other race tracks, so for me, all I’m doing is sending out 1/4 mile challenges. Sure, I’ll get a challenge for a track race, and I’ve gotten ONE endurance challenge, and I’ve accepted them, but as soon as I beat them (or lose to them), I’ll send them back a challenge, but for the 1/4 mile! So yeah, looks like I’ll be sticking around here for a bit longer! ;) LoL :D
