Car of the Week: Robert Rivera’s – Or as I’d like to call it – Ronald McDonald’s Pontiac Solstice! Robert wanted to tell us through his vDream to try the all new Chipotle BBQ Snack Wrap! I’m lovin’ it! Just kidding, Robert didn’t say that. I doubt Robert even likes McDonald’s. Well, Robert, if you don’t like McDonald’s why does your car look like one big Micky D’s ad!? =) All in good jest.
And yes, yes, the Supra is coming. We’ve been having trouble with the artists – you should have seen Cheechoo’s frustration this weekend. I couldn’t help but laugh, but I felt sorry for the noob. Supra’s on its way. Keep your knickers on and stop asking about it. =)

hahahaha yea its overrated on the dyno dumbass there is no 6 cylinder motor than can hold 1000 ponies with stock internals dumb dick there are 8 second full bodied 6 speed supras dont put a supra and civic together you have no idea what your talkin about and lets go back a couple of years corvettes were getting eatin in the late 80’s by my supra and when they switched motors and body styling in 93 corvettes were still gettin eatin up until it became a 55000 dollar sports car so yea vipes and vettes can beat it now stock to stock but give me a 30000 dollar supra and about 40 gs more i was gonna spend on the vette and 70 more on the viper and lets see who suckin whos titties now dumb dick get off the forum and know your shit before you talk specially when a mother fucker who eats vettes in vipers in his 87 supra suck a mother effin tailpipe

Sweet, i finally got ride of the week. and thanks everyone. I neither like it nor hate it but the car gets the job done. didnt even think about mcdonalds until someone pointed it out. either way im glad i chose those colors, always thought red and yellow or blue and yellow were some good color combinations, lol. Time to go race

Nobody’s doubting that your or anyone else’s Supra has the potential to beat the piss out of a ‘vette or viper and nobody’s doubting any of the facts surrounding the potential of a modified Supra. But did you ever consider his point of view before you got offended and blasted him? I don’t think he meant to offend anyone, especially you. There are many reasons that anyone might consider the Supra as overrated. Please understand that nobody means to offend so don’t feel the need to defend especially with that kind of hostility. I’m allowed to have an opinion even if it differs from yours. If you feel the need to let off some steam please do it somewhere else, not on the blog.

not just a car it’s a lifestyle…..don’t get laid much do ya?
as much as i hate to agree with such a blatant retard, the supra does present more potential than a viper or vette.
Now, stock internals? No. A supra running a stock 2jz BOTTOM END, meaning block and crank, with upgraded internals, ported heads, big single conversion, and all the supporting mods, you’re looking at a reliable 1400+ hp to the rear wheels (go ahead and add a stroker kit to up displacement to 3.2L and you’re going even bigger). And while the LS7, LS2, etc. are all very potent motors, I’d like to see them make 700% of their stock power on a mostly stock bottom end. (for you geniuses, that means the LS7 would have to make about 3500 horsepower to the rear wheels, meaning about 4200 at the crank. aka impossible.)
not to mention displacement, a 3.0L inline-6 making 700% of it’s stock rated power, vs. a 7.0L v8…..i dunno, to me the 2jz is more impressive.
and will clark, don’t talk when you don’t know. There’s no way your supposed 1jz should even be considered in the same realm as the 2jz. The potential of the 2jz is exponentially higher compared to the 1jz, and so are any of the smallblock v8’s I’ve mentioned above.
i don’t even know why i’m joining this argument. Felt nice to get a little ownage in there though. I’ll be elated when the supra comes out. I just hope you guys knock it out on initial mods, it’s rough having a car you know has plenty of potential and not having the parts to support it.
btw, any word on a rough estimate of it’s sticker price? i know you guys are sick of hearing about it but at least one detail would keep us at bay and let us know what we’re in for

I pull motors and build my car myself. I trust no one but myself and few friends to work on cars with me. Car shops are for noobs.

WoW! Something we actually have in common! You’re not that bad of a guy afterall! Aside from all the shit talking, I don’t trust anyone with my stuff either, I yank motors, build them, do my own suspension work, reroute lines, etc. The only things I don’t do are alignments and rearend work, i.e. gears etc.
Anyway, back to the shit talking, it’s getting fun! :D
And what if I do drive a V8? It’s not like I’m getting 8-10mpg….that’s my OTHER car! hahahahahah I happily get 17-20mpg on the streets and more on the freeways! I could care less about getting anything more then that, I don’t need it!

If you prefer your honda with not much horsepower, and no torque whatsoever…..then have to dump who knows how many thousands of dollars into it to make it faster…..then that’s kool with me! Enjoy!
