• April 30, 2009 New part-types: Brakes and Roll Cages!

    08:55am by Cheechoo (Site)

    Hello vDreamers!

We have been arduously working on expanding the part types offered in vDream, and have finally finished a small set of new part types: Brake Calipers, Brake Rotors, and Full Roll Cages – which are all visual! In addition to being visual, calipers and rotors are certain to reduce stopping distance and decrease track times, and roll cages are certain to look cool, while also stiffening the car’s chassis resulting in better traction.

This will likely result in some new world records for track times! Have fun!

LMAO the brake calipers are on the WRONG SIDE OF THE WHEEL :-) at least for the cars i know, the brake caliper on the front + back wheels are behind the wheels axis (located versus the cars rear end); the caliper i see in the preview are positioned vs the front bumper. you should really fix that!

woah the brake calipers and rotors are kinda expensive and no the brake calipers vary on location depending on the car

svenson above has a point, as a random inspection of various cars clearly shows that at least the front calipers hang “behind” the rotor or on the side of the wheel away from the front bumper, not in front of the rotor.

Most excellent, although better tires rather than bigger brakes should have been done. Still, outfitted my Elise with them… I’m not pleased by the weight gain, but this is reality… May I suggest you add carbon fibre and ceramic rotors in the future?
