Also the title of the first in the epic series: Star Wars. Coincidence? I THINK NOT.

Just kidding. I just wanted to congratulate Barack Obama, and even if you’re not an Obama supporter, I wanted to congratulate America, and the world, for that matter. Even getting handed a half-recession, I think it’s good news that America is going to change.

I know a guy named Anas. He wants me to mention that he voted for Colbert. I just wanted to say that Stephen Colbert, according to his views and according to his satire, he is very left-leaning, but South Carolina ended up a Red State. So, sorry, Anas, but your man didn’t make any impact (lol).

The presidential bobbleheads resulted in: 309 Barack Obamas, 132 John McCains, 40 Joe Bidens, and 82 Sarah Palins. This comes out to: 349 for Obama/Biden, and 214 for McCain/Palin. Good job vDream, you are a true example of the rest of America. =)

Either way… Drink up, fellow vDreamers. Some features are coming, cars are coming, let’s at the very least praise the new leader of the free world.

Hello vDreamers! This announcement will cover: this week’s awards, the results of the japanese car poll, and a brief description of Offers.

The weekly awards go to:

Most Active User: Tim Callahan, with 684 activity points. Keep up the good work, Tim!

Most Losses: Eiki Tanaka, with 263 losses, wins the most losses award again! Congratulations, Eiki. I thought the last 5000 vDollars you won for this exact same award would help you win some races? Maybe not…

Car of the Week: Rob Resquites, with a Halloween-themed Z06. If you want to be a winner of the car of the week, be sure to challenge anyone with sirens!

The results of the poll! A whopping 4896 total votes were tallied, great job vDreamers! The next car on the chopping block is the Toyota Supra, with 46% of all the votes (what a landslide victory). The runners up was the Mitsubishi EVO with 33%, the Honda S2k with 16%, and the Lexus IS with 5%.

Also, many of you have seen that there are now Offers in your notifications inbox. Essentially, these are a way to increase your vDream income. Every now and then there will be an offer to install an app (you don’t necessarily have to keep them forever, but some are worth checking out), and you will receive some vDollars. Keep checking back for some easy ways to make vDollars!

But I just wanted to take a moment to congratulate the youngest Formula 1 champion in history. Personally, I’m a HondaF1 guy, but I’ve been rooting for Hamilton ever since his first season last year. Senna’s successor? Perhaps. Go Hamilton!

Most Active: Josh Ferguson with 634 activity points. Josh is one of our loyal users who refused to succumb to ViperLand, I was rooting for him from the get-go. Unfortunately, recently he bought the Z06, which is fine, but I was pulling for him to keep the GT3. =) Either way, congrats, Josh.

Biggest Loser: Another myspace user, $clyde$ is bringing up the rear, but racking up activity and money at the same time! Keep it real, clyde, you’ll start smoking other people soon enough!

Car of the Week: Jeremiah Knavenshue, with our first Camaro winner. He’s one of the first Camaro users to embrace the new hoods. Great job, Jeremiah! Almost looks like Knight Rider.

October 24, 2008 Say Goodbye to Viper-Land! A New Beast Enters...

Many have been waiting for the end of Viper-Land in the vDream community. The Viper has been the best bang-for-your-buck for over a month now, and the only way to take a Viper out, is to either join them, or buy a $600,000 Saleen, and spend another $100,000+ on upgrades. Not anymore, my friends. The Viper has a competitor. Thank god for the American sports car, the Corvette Z06 is here!!! The Z06 is sure to give that monstrous Viper a run for its money. Who will come out on top? I think only Cheechoo knows… Save up those vDollars, the Z06 is here.

For you people already planning on buying it, though, there has been a slight hitch in the plan… All exterior parts for the Z06 were aboard the U.S.S. Failboat, and as you all know already, the Failboat capsizes and loses all of its cargo. There is another shipment of exterior parts for the Z06, but it won’t arrive until next week. That’s okay though, you guys weren’t into all of that flashy stuff anyway. You just want to go fast! To the flashier vDreamers, be patient. To the rest of the Z06 buyers, enjoy!

To you new vDreamers, every now and then we will release collectible parts that will only be available for a little while. Get ‘em while they’re hot! Most importantly, if you sport them on your car and decide to trade in your car, be sure to uninstall them before you trade it in, or else you will lose it!!!

This time, we’ve gone political, and are sporting our very own Obama, McCain, Biden, and Palin bobbleheads! Choose your favorite candidate, and when we close the availability on November 4th, we’ll tell you who had the most buys. Let’s see if the vDream demographic will truthfully show who wins the election!

If you’re from another country, and I know many of you are, don’t be shy, this is a global purchase/vote! I don’t want to speak for the rest of the vDream team, but the 2nd pic represents my view.

Hello vDreamers! We would like to introduce to you the “vDream Loyalty Program,” which is essentially another way to reward our most active users! You will receive money every day for logging in, as well as for how many friends you have on vDream! Here are the specifics:

Daily log-ins: You will receive $10 vDollars for logging in, and an extra $10 for each consecutive day you log in. If you log-in every day for 10 consecutive days, you will receive $100 vDollars that day. But be wary, if you miss a day, you’ll start over at $10 vDollars again!

Awesome friends: You will receive $20 vDollars per friend you have on vDream. So if you have 5 friends on your vDream friends list, you will receive $100 vDollars every day you log in.

IMPORTANT!!! vDream servers think they are on GMT -01:00. They think they are in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Therefore, a new day for our servers means 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time!!! October 17, 2008 vDream Police Department open for business, and a New Part Type!

The vDream Police Force has been established. Cheaters have been caught, and have been removed from the leaderboard. If you have been taken off the leaderboard, contact us through the vDream Support link at the bottom of the app.

If you’ve been caught cheating, you have two options:

1. Start from scratch. Record goes to 0-0-0, your car gets impounded, and you start out with the initial $21,000 vDollars. It’s basically a reset button.

2. You can opt to keep your car, your record, your money, and you can keep cheating to your heart’s desire, but will never appear on the leaderboard.

We do realize that it’s quite harsh, and it pains us to have to bring down the hammer so hard. But after a long discussion, restarting the account is the only way to keep things fair to other users, and that’s the most important thing to us. We’re sorry for the cruel and unusual punishment, but our hands are tied. We must keep the game fair.

On a lighter note, we have released camshafts for some cars. So check out the Parts Shop and look for engine internals, and you might be able to speed up your car a bit!

Oh, and I’m sure you noticed. There’s a new poll out. Go make some easy bucks.
